VIDAS® L. monocytogenes II (LMO2) is an enzyme-linked fluorescent immunoassay (ELFA) for the specific detection of Listeria monocytogenes antigens. The Solid Phase Receptacle (SPR®) serves as the solid phase as well as the pipetting device. The interior of the SPR® is coated with anti-L. monocytogenes antibodies adsorbed on its surface.

Reagents for the assay are ready-to-use and pre-dispensed in the sealed reagent strips. All of the assay steps are performed automatically by the instrument. The reaction medium is cycled in and out of the SPR® several times. The VIDAS& reg; LMO2 and VIDAS® LIS (Ref. 30700) can share a common enrichment. The approach allows for a quick and reliable confirmation of Listeria monocytogenes after species screening with VIDAS® LIS. Each kit of VIDAS® LMO2 contains 60 tests.
