TaKaRa LA Taq DNA Polymerase Hot-Start Version consists of Takara LA Taq polymerase plus a monoclonal antibody specific to Taq polymerase. This thermostable enzyme retains all of the high performance features of Takara LA Taq polymerase while increasing reaction specificity and reducing background. Takara LA Taq DNA Polymerase is optimized for long range PCR, enabling synthesis of products up to 30 kb for genomic DNA and 48 kb for lambda DNA templates. The polymerase also has 6.5X higher fidelity than Taq DNA Polymerase. The use of LA Taq polymerase requires little optimization and provides greater product yield compared to other manufacturers' long range PCR enzymes due to a robust enzyme-buffer system. Hot start PCR amplification reactions can be assembled at room temperature using TaKaRa LA Taq DNA Polymerase Hot-Start Version.
