Background information

The smart design of the MACS SmartStrainers allows improved ventilation during filtration, and so avoids clogging of the strainers. The MACS SmartStrainers easily fit into standard 15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes of all major suppliers. MACS SmartStrainers are stackable and thus allow filtration with decreasing mesh sizes in one go. Their compact design facilitates sterile handling.

Applications

The MACS SmartStrainers can be used for removal of larger particles from cell suspensions from tissue dissociated with the gentleMACS™ Dissociators and from larger blood samples.
