Background information
Anti-Fibroblast MicroBeads are based on a fibroblast-specific antigen. This antigen is also known to be expressed on mesenchymal stem cells, also known as mesenchymal stromal cells, (MSCs) in the bone marrow.
Applications
Depletion of human fibroblasts that are used as feeder cells to support the growth of ES or iPS cells
Depletion of fibroblasts after reprogramming
Isolation of MSCs from bone marrow aspirate
Removal of fibroblastic cells from bone marrow cultures
Positive selection of fibroblasts from cell mixtures
