CytoBox Mo-DC can be used for differentiation of human blood-derived monocytes into human immature dendritic cells (Mo-DC)
Background information
Dendritic cells (DCs) are the primary professional antigen presenting cells of the immune system. They have a central function for the initiation, programming and regulation of antigen-specific immune responses. In vitro, human DCs are often generated from peripheral blood monocytes using GM-CSF and IL-4. These monocyte-derived DCs (Mo-DCs) have the characteristics of immature DCs. Mature Mo-DCs can be obtained by culturing Mo-DCs in the presence of microbial, pro-inflammatory, or T cell-derived stimuli. Mo-DCs have been tested in a broad range of immunotherapy-based protocols, primarily for cancer research.
Quality description
Premium-grade cytokines offer the convenience of high and well-defined biological activities and allow exact unit dosing for demanding applications. The biological activity is determined after lyophilization and reconstitution, and normalized to WHO/NIBSC standards whenever available. In general, endotoxin levels are <0.01 ng/μg (<0.1 EU/μg), and purities are >97%. Lot-specific certificates of analysis are available on request (macstec@miltenyibiotec.de).
Biological activity
Proliferation of TF-1 cells (human GM-CSF NIBSC code 88/646, human IL-4 NIBSC 88/656).
premium grade: ≥ 5×106 IU/mg
