The GENE-UP® Lysis kit has been designed for use with the GENE-UP reagent kits. Detection of microbial DNA in food samples by PCR requires an extraction method that efficiently lyses cells of all possible target microorganisms. The lysis technique employed by this kit is bead beating, a commonly used physical disruption method used to release DNA from cells. The GENE-UP® Lysis kit contains the following: 2 pouches each with 1 rack of 96 lysis tubes (192 reactions total).
